General information for the business: We are a specialist cleaning and restoration company.
Database management system (DBMS): Microsoft Access
Description of requirements/functionality: We currently have a basic Access database with four related tables. This includes information about customers, jobs conducted, marketing & communications as well as contact preferences. We want to improve this with the use of forms and reports:
- A form for entering information about new customers, jobs, quotes, with the option for a quote to be 'ticked off' and stored as a job if successful.
- Tables supporting drop down fields, including cleaning packages, treatment types and quantities.
- A diary incorporated into the database, which produces daily worksheets for each staff members daily (which could be printed off or emailed).
- Automated emails/letters created 1 year after a customer last had work done on a monthly basis.
- Ability to search using given criteria and then use results in a mail merge letter/email.
- A marketing report - summarising the success of advertising methods and consolidating all customer communications.
Extra notes: We would also be interested in technical support options for the future, and potential additional training.
