Dear PPH community,

On behalf of my employer (a London accounting company), I'm currently looking for a freelancer who is firm with Companies House Rest API. However, it is not necessarily our goal to create a link between Companies House and one of our systems. Instead, it is mainly our interest to create databases of companies in the form of Excel spreadsheets.

In case it helps you understand the request better: The purpose of this project is to generate overviews of UK businesses for us to understand markets so that can strategise better in our marketing.

    Hi Joel,,
    considering your request. There are approx 6m companies registered. Are you expecting a dump of all those companies?
    Perhaps you are asking for a slice of the data relating to a particular market segment?
    Perhaps you can provide some additional information in alignment with your thinking - this will allow me to tailor to your actual requirement rather than just a raw data dump.
    Just for your edification, although you can pull data out from Companies House they get very antsy when you are conducting a complete dump and it probably get terminated. The point is there are limitations.
