Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: We are a proxy service, an intermediary purchasing on behalf of others, so our sales process is more complex.
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: Unsure
Description of every page/module: We would like a dashboard/account page for the customer which shows their order history and the various statuses of the orders. Certain orders will require actions on the customer's side such as making an oustanding payment, or requesting a shipment.
An "alerts page" where the customer can check what actions they need to do for their orders.
A "storage" page where customers can see what items they have in storage with us (on hold).
A "messages" page where customers (and we) can see a history of our correspondence regarding any inquires. Ideally, we would like this linked to gmail in the back end.
A "shipments" page where customers can request various orders to be consolidated and shipped, and can possibly also track current orders in transit.
An "accounts/profile settings" page where customers can configure their account details such as shipping address, password, etc.
An "orders" page where customers can have an overview of the statuses of all orders.
An "order process" page where customers can place an order, and it will take them through the ordering process. This would require several pages through the process for entering a URL/product, order details and customer information. It will also require a quote calculator to work out the order total. The customer can then make payment. We would like to use a payment capture system since we cannot always acquire the goods, and sometimes their order costs more or less than expected. There will be orders that do not fit into the standard order calculations, so we would need to send up follow-up invoices.
We would like to have a "Payments" page where customers can deposit funds into their accounts.
An FAQ page with a search function, easily accessible from the dashboard.
A shopping cart page where customers can view items they are in the process of buying, and can add items to the cart.
Description of requirements/features: A shipping calculator/estimator.
An order estimate calculator.
Payment capture
Customization of Woocommerce
1) Extra order statuses/categories for both front end and back end. We would like certain order statuses to trigger automatic emails (e.g. when an item is purchased, the customer is automatically notified and their order status is updated on the front end also).
2) The ability to trigger alerts/notifications for ourselves. For example, if we buy something and it hasn't arrived for a while, then we need to check up on an order. With many orders coming through, some items can slip through the cracks. If we can set a date for a notification trigger that sends us an email or something with instructions to check on the status it would help a lot. We would also want an automatic alert system for customers for certain things. For example, we hold goods for 30 days free. It would be great if we could set a date on orders to give them a reminder that their free hold period deadline is approaching. This would appear in their "alerts" page without us having to give them a manual reminder each time.
Extra services needed: Customization
Similar urls: http://https://www.whiterabbitexpress.com/; https://zenmarket.jp/default.aspx
Extra notes: The URLs included are very much the kind of user interface we would ideally like, particularly the first one. It is simple and easy to use on the front end.
We provide a very similar service, and are trying to get a more automated and efficient back end processing system going that connects to a smooth user interface at the front end. That is our main priority. Currently, we have a very basic system where customers send us orders via gravity forms, and then we update every step of the process manually in a separate system, and update the customer manually via email. It is very inefficient. We have included a sample page of the kind of thing we'd like though it does not have to be this format nor have all the features shown.
We are completely open to input and other ideas to make this work. Although we have included our ideal requests, we are also open to losing a lot of bells and whistles to make it fit into our budget if that's necessary. There are some existing plugins that already help with things such as custom order statuses, so creation of plugins/customization may not be necessary in some areas.
As mentioned, our main priority is just getting an automated process and easy user interface created and linked together. We are happy to simplify things as much as possible to reflect our budget. Our deadline is around 1 month. We look forward to hearing from any interested parties. Unsure of the level requirement for this, so posting at intermediate for now.
