Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
On the website of the Insurance Association of Cyprus you can find a collection of Excel spreadsheets that contain details about the performance of the investment funds of each insurance company.
This is the web page: http://www.iac.org.cy/easyconsole.cfm/id/257/lang/en
I would like a python script to extract the prices of all the funds, for all the insurance companies, and save them to a CSV file.
The input to the script should be a single xlsx file. For example, the latest file shown on the above web page is the file "Unit Linked Prices 2018".
The columns of the output CSV file should be:
1. Company
2. Fund
3. Establishment
4. Month
5. Year
6. Available
7. Fund Size
8. Offer Price
9. Bid Price
At the end of the project I would like the deliverable will be a script written in python 3. I will run the script myself using the xlsx files to get the csv files. The script should be well documented.
I attach an example csv file that includes only the data for a single fund from a specific insurance company. The data is taken from the file "Unit Linked Prices 2018". The script should extract the data for all the funds from all the insurance companies shown in the spreadsheet.
