So far the best classified ad site hands down is Ebay. We all know that.
However, I want something as clever, but not as cluttered. This will be for consumers to be able to sell items they have for sale. These items will then appear on searches consumers do on the website looking to buy these items.
I realize Ebay is an auction site, but the programming and the design are amazing.
I have so many .com's and domain names with ideas and I need a good classified ads solution where I can use the same software to sell guitar amps, boats, cars, or whatever it is I want to sell.
I own several domain names like seattleboatsforsale.com (which would rank #1) for anyone looking for a boat for sale in Seattle. I also own Guitarampsforsale.com that I want to have just for guitar amps.
I want a software that I can use on all of my sales sites, but you will tweak each of course and upload all of the products and makes and models so it's an easy sign-up process.
The first mock up I would want to do is for seattleboatsforsale.com. I like the colors here: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/cooking/
I want it done in such a way where the consumer comes to the site, see's an easy sign up process, and begins to place the ad, then at the end, the site will ask for his or her information to create the account, then once the account is created they are then able to then place up the item they want to sell on the website.
This item can then be searched for by make, model, etc, by consumers.
I love the signup process of: http://www.vehix.com/sell-your-car/create-free-listing.aspx?zip=98004
What I need is a good classifieds ads software solution that I can use over and over again for other domain names and products that I want to sell. You would have to amend it for instance, and upload all of the makes, models, years, etc...for each website.
I want a solution to be like eBay, but not like Ebay. I like the professionalism of Ebay, but I want a more simple process. I want them to be able to see drop-down menus of all of the makes, pick it, then the year, pick it, then the color, pick it, etc...
I want an EASY signup, loadup images process.
I then want the option built in of charging them $5.00 per ad, etc. My idea is to get it popular, then charge.
What I don't want is to drop 2K, then get a result like this: http://spbas.com/phil/index.php?run=zlisting&item_id=2868680989
I represent the oldest design firm on the planet and we have 22 investors. We have developed and sold many .com's you know and use daily.
This will be an ideal opportunity to locate bright young developers that want to work from home, Our company does business with your company, and we can both make some good income together.
