Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for a reliable podcast and meditation editor who can help preserve and present meaningful human conversations with authenticity, sensitivity, and professional-quality production.
About me: I am a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and meditation facilitator, with a strong interest in psychology, philosophy, emotional well-being, self-development, and the human experience. This work is an extension of that.
The podcast explores themes such as identity, connection, authenticity, vulnerability, mental health, psychology, philosophy, relationships, and the wider human experience. The conversations are host-led rather than interview-led. I gently guide discussions while allowing guests space to explore topics that matter to them.
The type of editing I want is thoughtful rather than aggressive. I want meaningful pauses, reflection, vulnerability, emotional moments, natural humour, and authentic conversational flow to be preserved, while technical issues, dead space, obvious mistakes, unnecessary repetition, and weak tangents are removed.
Typical podcast recordings will be 1–2 hours long and will usually be captured with a simple setup: one microphone, one laptop, and sometimes one camera. Audio quality may vary depending on the environment, and all participants will usually be recorded onto a single audio track. Where guests are comfortable on camera, podcast recordings may also include video footage.
What I need:
- Audio cleanup and enhancement
- Noise reduction
- Voice optimisation
- Thoughtful editing
- Intro/outro added using my own original music
- Final audio ready for upload (MP3 and/or other appropriate formats)
- Where video footage is available, synchronisation and editing of audio/video for a clean, professional result
I also create guided meditation recordings, usually up to approximately 1 hour. These will not include camera footage. For these, I need audio cleanup, voice enhancement where appropriate, noise reduction, preservation of natural pacing and pauses, and a simple visual version using a tranquil still image where appropriate.
I am open to a long-term working relationship with the right person, and in the early stages, I would like to review edited versions before finalisation so we can build trust and a shared understanding of the style.
What matters most to me is finding someone who is reliable, communicative, thoughtful, professional, open to collaboration, and genuinely interested in the purpose of the project.
