Studio Tolcher is an interior design studio specialising in experiential interiors for short-term holiday rentals and lifestyle properties. We help holiday property owners and letting agents improve the commercial performance of their properties through strategic, guest-focused design.
We are currently looking for a UK-based freelance Business Development Executive to support our initial outreach to holiday letting agencies, with wider expansion into outreach to holiday property owners over time.
This is a relationship-led outreach role rather than a high-volume telesales position.
The role involves opening commercially intelligent conversations with decision makers within the holiday rental sector, identifying pain points around underperforming listings and weak guest experience, and booking qualified meetings for the founder of the studio.
Initial outreach will focus on researched holiday letting agencies within West Sussex, before expanding into wider regional areas.
Responsibilities will include:
Conducting outbound outreach calls to holiday letting agencies and property businesses
Building rapport with agency owners, directors and portfolio managers
Identifying issues around occupancy, nightly rates, poor presentation and competitive positioning
Recording call notes and outcomes within shared Google Sheets
Booking qualified meetings into the founder’s calendar
Following up where necessary to reduce no-shows and maintain engagement
You will be provided with:
Researched outreach lists
Guidance around positioning and outreach approach
Key talking points and sector insights
Shared outreach tracking sheets and meeting processes
We are looking for someone who is:
Warm, articulate and emotionally intelligent
Commercially aware and confident speaking with decision makers
Naturally conversational rather than overly scripted
Organised, proactive and professional
Interested in hospitality, interiors, property or guest experience
Experience within hospitality, property, luxury services or relationship-led business development would be highly beneficial.
This role will likely suit someone who enjoys commercially intelligent conversation more than aggressive sales tactics.
The role is freelance and flexible/ad-hoc initially, with scope for ongoing work as outreach activity expands.
Pay Structure:
Competitive freelance hourly/day rate depending on experience
Additional payment for qualified meetings booked and attended
