My website needs a modern, engaging redesign

I used a basic Bootstrap design with HTML5 and built my own graphics (which I have available in PowerPoint and PNG (300DPI) formats for redesigns) and my own website with pure functionality in mind - I have had a lot of feedback that it is too basic and not engaging enough - it's "boring"(!)

I need someone to review the page design and work with me to create and correct it to be more colourful, more engaging and more striking.
