Graphic design for use on websites

Part 1. E-commerce Website

Our e-commerce website requires an update. We are looking for concept art in Photoshop, of how we might redesign the look of our website to make it more modern and fit in with the themes of our 2011/2012 products. The design will need to take into account the necessary existing elements of our e-commerce website, in terms of navigation, use and the transfer of information to the customer.

We would expect you to be able to provide us with the names of other websites that you have designed.

the project requires the creation of concept artwork and supporting graphics and images for use on the final website. The website coding will be performed in-house, so no prior experience of programming is required, however the designer should be experienced in e-commerce site design in general.

The concept project shall initially produce a \"first round\" of three of four mock-ups with different themes providing (a) home page and (b) product page designs. Concept art needs to be provided in Photoshop PSD format, this will allow our in-house team to quickly experiment with small changes in colour and layout.

The first round should result in a promising design being selected together with further directions. A range of concept designs for the following pages shall be created:

a. home page
b. product category page
c. product page
d. checkout
e. static or other pages

Part 2. My Product Micro-site

The \"my product\" micro-site will provide customers who have purchased the items to learn more about their product and to get hints and tips. The pages will be able to contain video or flash and also be linked in to social media websites. Your role would be to design the overall concept. Three or four initial design concepts would be required. Again this should be provided in Photoshop PSD format.

The technical framework to be used behind the micro site would be a simple PHP, CSS and database framework that would be put together in-house.
