Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: a photo-rich travel blog that focuses on destinations that are less touristy, off the beaten track (my favorite places are Antarctica, Iran, Myanmar, Patagonia). at some point, it will transform into a business that will focus on adventure travel. main audience would be bold (solo) travelers who like adventure, people who are not afraid of doing what they want without being boxed in by society.
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Type of logo: Letter form, Abstract mark, Pictorial mark
Brand name/slogan in logo: can't stay still
Number of revisions: 5ish
Ideas for the visual style: see extra notes
Things to avoid: obvious travel-cliches, religious symbols, anything with a sexual implication.
Preferred colors: not pink :)
Extra notes: logo type: combination mark. the only fixed requirement here is creativity. I need to look at it and think 'oh, that's smart'. That usually happens with creative use of negative space. I am attracted to spatial geometry, symbols that can be interpreted in more than one way. the important thing is the feeling it transmits (see keywords below).
a clean simple font for the text is enough (for some reason I prefer the non-clutter in sans serifs, but I'm open)
I am attaching some logos I like and quite a few are text-logos but that's because those I found to be smart. it's not a requirement that the full name is a part of the logo (I actually prefer it's not, but I'm flexible).
keywords (use any 1 or more for inspiration): *getting out of the box* (see wanderlust image that gives the idea of getting out of the confined space, otherwise there is no graphical value to it), movement, photography, nature, dance, steps, waves, sun, moon, sky, constellation, boldness.
Expected deliverables:
color, grayscale and black/white logo
source files and .png
favicon
copyrights to the design
logo should be unique
Deadline
How's a week? If you need more time, let me know and I'll update.
