Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Information for the business: Burlesque performer and teacher
Industry: Entertainment
Type of logo: Word mark
Brand name/slogan in logo: Lady May
Ideas for the visual style: Key words - Glamorous, Amazonian, Statuesque. Fluid and possibly hand-drawn look
Things to avoid: Overly curly/calligraphy style, Circus style, Sailor Jerrys font, anything too naive or bubble writing type, anything too cliche vintage
Preferred colors: Old golds and antique creams - open to some suggestions
Where the design will be used: Website header (landscape), business cards (landscape) and to "watermark" images on site/FB/in print - possibly also for merchandise later so needs to be clear.
Extra notes: Burlesque performer, teacher and fire eater re-branding from Lady May Den-Voyage (see www.ladymayburlesque.com) to Lady May - shorter, punchier. With this
name tweak am wanting a shift to a feeling of more decadent, slightly diva, and the key words being glamorous, Amazonian, statuesque, Unconventional and unapologietic. Attached is an image showing the previous type of logo - do not want in a border like this for next time. Attached are also key images to show performer aesthetic, and relevant colours with the purples , rich greens - no white, but the plaster feel/colour where distressed and see the old golds. I need to use this for the website header, for images, for FB header, for merchandise in the future.
If looking at eras - more 1940's Hollywood glamour than 1920's - but want a vintage nod for a contemporary logo, not a full on vintage aesthetic.
On my website the current fonts are Brandon Gorelesque for sub headings, and Future Light for main body text
