Illustrator for Magical Children’s Book Series

Hi everyone,

I’m creating a magical children’s picture book series called The Rainbow Dewdrop Fairies. The first story (32 pages) is fully drafted, and I’m looking for an illustrator who can bring it to life with detailed, whimsical, colourful, forest-inspired artwork.

This isn’t just one book—

7 more core stories are already outlined and ready to go.

The full vision is a 26-book series, one for every letter of the alphabet, each featuring a different fairy and animal companion.

This is an exciting chance to be part of building a magical world that children will want to collect, share, and return to again and again.

Because I’m publishing independently through Amazon KDP, my budget is small, but here’s what I can offer:

A flat fee (low, negotiable depending on your rates), OR

A royalty split from book sales.

The possibility of extending our collaboration across the entire series if it’s a good fit.

What I’m looking for:

A style full of detail and magic, perfect for 3–6 year olds.

Consistent character design (the fairies + animals reappear across stories).

High-resolution illustrations (PNG/JPEG at 300 dpi, 8.5 x 8.5” format for KDP).
