Illustrations for three childrens' old fashioned fairy tale books

I need an illustrator to create pictures for a trilogy of fairy tale books There will be about 20 illustrations per book. The illustrations need to be done in a hand drawn/painted style, not computer graphics generated at all.

Please only respond with actual examples of your work attached to your reply rather than referring me to your portfolio. I can also look at your portfolio if I am interested.

I am looking for a 'look' which was popular about 100 years ago.

I would like to have a trial illustration and am prepared to pay £40 to those whose proposals I accept for an illustration of two different groups of fairies meeting in a forest setting. There can be 5 fairies in each group. They need to be doing different things. Each fairy should be easily identified as to which group they belong, but they need not be identically dressed. I am interested in your composition and drawing ability as well as your creativity.
