Sketch outline for a vodka bottle from a picture

I have a picture of my brother who is our distiller that I need turned into a hand sketch that we will be putting on our new vodka brand that brings attention for water conservation, as simplistic in design as possible yet capturing two main elements of the picture, his gaze and smile as he looks over the ocean. I've had three people I know work on it, but I can't get them to capture his look of hope and content. I've attached three items. The picture that is the inspiration. an off the shelf app picture, and a hand sketch that was done that has too much detail. His eyes aren't right, the smile is off, and the beard is too thick.
