Description
Experience Level: Expert
We have existing 3D sculpt files of cartoon-style character figures (approximately 6–8 inches tall). Each figure consists of multiple interlocking parts that assemble together.
We are looking for an experienced CAD designer or product engineer to:
- Convert sculpt files (STL/OBJ) into production-ready CAD
- Refine part separations and interlocking features
- Add proper tolerances for assembly
- Prepare files suitable for manufacturing
Requirements:
- Experience converting organic sculpts into clean CAD geometry
- Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances
- Experience with toy or small-figure production is a plus
We kindly request:
- Relevant portfolio examples
- Estimated timeline

Before providing an accurate timeline and workflow plan, could you please clarify the intended manufacturing process (injection molding, resin casting, or 3D printing), the expected material, and whether draft angles and shrinkage compensation should be incorporated into the CAD? Additionally, are the current interlocking features final, or would you like them re-engineered for improved assembly tolerance and durability?
