Overview:
I’m creating a 16-page illustrated children’s book based on a young boy named Jace and his love for watermelon. The story is sweet, playful, and emotionally warm — aimed at children aged 2–6. I’m looking for a talented illustrator to bring each scene to life with fun, engaging, full-color images.

Style:
Soft, child-friendly, expressive. Ideally cartoon-style (not hyper-realistic), with warm colors and clear character emotion. Think Cocomelon / Eric Carle / Oliver Jeffers vibe — but open to your style if it suits the tone.

Book Details:

Final size: 8.5” x 8.5” square (with bleed)

16 total pages (1 illustration per page) + optional cover/back cover

All illustrations should be 300 DPI and print-ready

Full-bleed art preferred (images extend to the edge of the page)

Deliverables:

16 full-page illustrations in high-resolution (JPEG or PNG + source files)

Cover and back cover (optional – please quote separately if needed)

Files sized with bleed (8.625” x 8.625”)

All images must be original work

Ownership & Rights:
Once complete and paid in full, I require full commercial rights to the illustrations, including the right to use them in print and digital formats, sell the book, and use the images for promotion. You will be credited in the book if desired.
