Description
Experience Level: Expert
The infographic is urgent: needs to be ready by January 24th.
The rest can follow later.
FRAMEWORK
We are working on a rebranding for a client. We have validated the new logo, fonts, colors, graphical identity and hero images (real pictures).
We have redefined their commercial strategy/approach into what we’ve named ‘LifeCycle’. The underlying idea is that we will step away from just offering ‘products’ to customers, and evolve towards a philosophy where we will become the “partenaire de route” during their whole life (from the moment they are still in university up until the moment they retire). For every key step that our customers take in their private and professional life, we will come with the right solutions/products/services to allow them to live life to the fullest. So a very positive and optimistic approach.
STYLE DIRECTION
We are talking about the LifeCycle of people, so we need to work with ‘people’/characters.
Some inspiration
- the style of Vaudoise Assistance is something I like (https://cartoonbase.com/en/video/application-vaudoise-assistance)
- the BCG data and digital platform (https://cartoonbase.com/en/video/data-and-digital-platform) is also an interesting style, even if it lacks people here. It’s more ‘robust’/simplified compared to Vaudoise Assistance but the storytelling flow is strong and to the point
CREATIVE NEEDS
We need to explain this new philosophy to the employees and customers:
- For the employees: we’ve created a detailed matrix that explains in detail all the steps and situations of ‘LifeCycle’. Today it’s an Excel matrix, but we need to give a it certain design that aligns with how we present the commercial approach externally. This is not that ‘conceptual’ but we need to give it the same ‘sauce’ as the external elements (see below). It’s more about the information inside the matrix, but we need to sell it right to the employees (e.g. I’m really thinking about printing it in big (3m x 4m) on one of their office walls, where the key easily see the whole journey/LifeCycle of each customer type. So this will be more a big infographic
-For the customers:
- 45sec animations movie, explaining LifeCycle and the key milestones (4 milestones) in the lives of our customers we are ready to take with them
- We want to translate the message of the video also towards 4 images (because we have 4 main stages in LifeCycle). This could just be stills from the video, but it’s also possible that they are a little bit more elaborate (see example in attachment).
- It needs to be a visual language that we can translate afterwards as well to a digital platform, a portal where customers can follow-up their status/phase of the LifeCycle.
- It should also result in a style that can be translated to a number of icons (exact number and needs still to be defined, but +/- 20 icons)
The rest can follow later.

This looks fun! Do you have a storyboard for the animation?
