EBay Sales Reconciliation & Categorisation Spreadsheet

Scope of Work:
Combine and clean all provided eBay sales/order reports (Excel format) for Q1 2025.

Combine and clean all provided eBay payout/transaction reports (Excel format) for Q1 2025.

Cross-reference sales and payout reports to:

Ensure that all payouts correspond to reported sales.

Reconcile any timing differences or mismatches.

Flag and categorise each sale as either “marginal” or “standard-rated”:

Use the provided margin stock book (Excel file) to identify the specific marginal transactions.

Everything else should be categorised as standard-rated.

Produce a single, consolidated spreadsheet with:

eBay order number

Date

Item title

Quantity

Sale price

Postage (if any)

VAT rate

VAT collected

Fees (if available)

Net payout

VAT scheme (margin/standard)

Reference to payout/bank record (if possible)

Calculate total sales and net payouts for both margin and standard-rated sales.

Highlight any discrepancies between sales, payouts, and bank statement records (if provided).
