Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are two litigants in person preparing a County Court claim under Section 27 of the Equality Act 2010 (victimisation) against a publicly funded school. The case does not relate to disability discrimination or education provision, but to our own treatment as parents after raising legal concerns.
We have:
Sent the Letter Before Claim
Prepared the Particulars of Claim (under £10,000 )
Assembled key evidence, including contemporaneous documents and admissions by the defendant
We now require a qualified barrister or experienced legal professional to:
Review our draft claim for accuracy, sufficiency, and legal structure
Flag any material risks or jurisdictional issues
Provide brief written feedback or suggested edits
⚖️ Legal Background Required:
Civil litigation (County Court)
Equality Act 2010, specifically Section 27 (victimisation)
Familiarity with jurisdictional issues (County Court vs SEND Tribunal)
Ideally some public sector or education-related law background
