Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Hi
I'm looking for a professional virtual assistant to help me with a wide range of tasks, some small, some large!
I'm a software developer and project manager at an investment bank in the City. In my spare time I run a few small pet projects and small companies. Added to that I've just had my first child - so time is now at a minimum!
I've been meaning to get an assistant on board for a while now, to free up my time to focus on the technical aspects of what I do. With the arrival of the baby I've had to accelarate my plans! :)
I've just ran a small experiment with a couple of VA's and unfortunately it didn't work out, so I'm trying again! It's led me to realise the two most important requirements;
1. A completer finisher - if it's not saving me time and completing a task to the required standard, then I may as well have done it myself!
2. A good communicator - available and quick to response etc.
The work will be varied, but here is a short list of a few examples of things you might be able to help me with;
Holiday planning and booking
Same as above, but group trips - a bit more work!
Property search - my wife and I are looking for a small/cheap holiday home somewhere in the south east. I have a fairly detailed list of requirements.
I may need some help with some property management issues in the north east (Newcastle)
I'd like some assistance with property management of a flat I rent out in Highbury, North London.
There will also be more business focussed tasks related to some of the work I do in my spare time, particulary around market research, blogging, marketting, advertisting and particulaly outsource management (i.e. paying my developers).
Anyway, I'm looking for someone hard working and flexible and clearly able to think on their feet and apply lots of common sense - I won't always be able to provide really detailed requirements of what I need doing. Excellent written and oral English skills are a must, so I've limited this search to the UK for now.
Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss the next steps. Perhaps we have a little trial with one of the above tasks...
Being up-to-speed on a bunch of apps/tools that I use to help organise my life would be a a big plus, e.g. Evernote, Wunderlist, Dropbox, Doodle Poll etc.
I've stuck down an hourly rate of £10, but if I need to pay more for someone with the right skills and attitude, that's fine.
Thanks
Ben
