Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
This project is about the analysis of a survey that received around 80 answers. The purpose of the study is to assess the behavioural intention for the acceptance of a given technology in relation to 5 factors as well as to identify the effects of few moderators on the association between dependent and independent variables. While moderators are nominal variables, the other ones are of ordinal type since they result from answers measured on a likert-type scale (1 to 5).
The result file will be provided as a SPSS file since the analysis must be performed in this platform. Furthermore, I will provide a simple sketch with the hypotheses to be tested. SPSS license not provided.
The tasks to be carried out are: (1) analysis of the reliability of the constructs, (2) analysis of the 5 direct hypotheses, (3) analysis of the moderators’ effects on the 5 direct hypotheses.
For each of the afore mentioned tasks, results should be provided as follows: (A) justification of the reason for using the specific test or algorithm, (B) discussion of the results with reference to the acceptance criteria for the test or algorithm, (C) SPSS file output.
Example
The reliability of the constructs was assessed through convergent validity and discriminant validity because the variables are of ordinal type (answer to A). In terms of combined reliability, the composite reliability (CR) should be above 0.6, and the average variance extracted (AVE) must be greater than 0.5. In the current case, CR=0.7 while AVE=0.6; hence the test is satisfactory (answer to B). Further details are available in the SPSS output file ‘reliability’ (answer to C).
