I'm a successful London based make-up artist looking for an experienced and enthusiastic virtual assistant to help me manage and grow my business. As context, I currently run the business myself, and have decided I need to have more time to focus on the creative side of the company, so I need somebody who can assist me with both the day to day management of the business, and help to expand it over time. In terms of the key tasks I would see involved in the role.
- The first step will be to take over all correspondence / calendar management for me. This would primarily be email based, but would also require some telephone contact with clients / suppliers. All email would need to be answered within 24-hours (Monday to Friday), and as such I need somebody who is able to allocate time each day to support.
- The second element of the work would be to help develop and manage a virtual team of service providers (e.g. designers, web developer, SEO support) who I believe would be required to help develop the business.
- Once this team is recruited, I would be looking for help in creating and executing a marketing plan for the business, to include creating website content (e.g. blog posts), driving more traffic to the website, and helping with PR activity focused on both printed and online media.
In terms of time commitment, I believe the work would be approximately 2-hours per day to begin with, with the option to grow this over time. I am happy for the person to work remotely in a pattern that works for them, though it would be good to be able to have catch-up calls on a regular basis, and for the work to be completed during normal office hours.
From my perspective, the ideal person for the role will have not only great experience as a virtual assistant, but also the skills and experience to help grow my business, and also the enthusiasm for making this happen. Given the nature of the role, computer literacy would be ideal, as would be experience in helping to develop small businesses.
