Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Video streaming site
Description of requirements/features: PHP and SSH settings that can successfully obfuscate a video URL using modauthtoken.
Specific technologies required: php, ssh
Similar urls: http://ajb.bz/2011/04/install-apache-and-php-to-do-secure-h264-pseudo-streaming/
Extra notes: Hi there,
I have a website, E-Reelz. It is a film streaming site and I have nearly everything set up. However, I do not have the technical expertise to resolve a particular issue. When a user right-clicks and selects 'View Page Source', they can see the exact location of the video file. I have read about obfuscation and believe it to be possible with my video player of choice, Flowplayer.
What I believe needs to be done is server side as well as a php application. There is an article here about the server settings: http://ajb.bz/2011/04/install-apache-and-php-to-do-secure-h264-pseudo-streaming/
In addition to the server settings, one-time use URLs created by php and modauthtoken can complement these. The script must resolve the video to a valid http url though.
Do you think this is a task you could complete and if so, what would your estimated cost be? I can provide you with all the FTP and SSH settings necessary.
Thank you,
Fiona
