Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Fashion Design & Pattern Grading Skills Required
Industry: Art and Design
Design details: I will be launching a new range of home dressmaking patterns as an independent brand in March 2018 at the key national and consumer trade show at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
I have some sketches of garments that I want to include in the range but need someone to sketch them professionally, to design the dressmaking patterns and do pattern grading.
The patterns will need to be tested before final launch, so if you have experience of organising this, that will be a bonus.
The funding for the project will be coming from a combination of local business funding, crowdfunding and some of my own money.
In your proposal, please provide a detailed Critical Path diagram of the key stages required from start of the project to final print and delivery of the finished patterns.
Also please provide a full breakdown of costs and a realistic budget for the work to be done professionally. I have an idea of the budget required, but I want to get input on how this could be done most cost effectively as this will be my first sewing patterns range to market and 25% of funds from profits of the sewing pattern sales will be donated to charity (potentially increasing to 50%).
The patterns will need to be drafted for print and for PDF versions. Just A4 formats initially (later potentially US Paper size versions too).
Target audience: Home Dressmaker in the UK (and later worldwide incl USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia
Messages to communicate through the design: x
Ideas for the visual style: Bright, inspiring and colourful - we want our pattern envelopes to really grab people's attention in retail and online
Extra notes:
