Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: We sell framed and unframed art and note cards.
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: I would like the ability within my site’s CMS to turn on and off the availability of note cards and/or unframed designs, leaving framed items available.
CMS and Admin requirements: The website is coded in PHP using a circa-2007 custom CMS backend, running on a standard shared-hosting LAMP stack.
Extra notes: As an example, the design called Thank You is available as a notecard, as a no-frame design (two no-frame options in this case) and as a framed design (four framed options). See http://www.michaelnoyes.com/gifts/by-occasion/thank-you-messages/thank-you-meister-eckhart. Different designs have different framed and no-frame options, though every design is available in at least one framed and one no frame option. Different designs also have different note card options – some at regular in-stock prices, some at “custom” print-on-demand prices; some are low stock and available only in packages of eight, and some are not available as cards at all.
All designs are listed on one product page, as in the link example above, and on one or more category pages. For instance, the Thank You design is on the “Thank You Messages” category page – http://www.michaelnoyes.com/gifts/by-occasion/thank-you-messages – and the “Spiritual Sayings, N-Z” category page – http://www.michaelnoyes.com/gifts/religious/spiritual-sayings-n-z.
Framed and unframed options per size (with prices) AND the words “Notecards available” (when cards are available with that design) are listed on category pages. (See image.)
Product pages have a description of any unframed option following a radio button which when selected changes the amount of the Add to Cart button. (See image.)
Product pages also include radio buttons and an Add to Cart button for whatever card options are available and an image of the card design in a clear acrylic card frame (also with an Add to Cart button). (See image.)

Notecards also have separate category pages (main menu), both for standard and for custom. This would have to be made invisible when the note card option is turned off.
