Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 2 months
Project(s): Timeline and ADHD
No of people: 1
Skills required: Java, SQL, Python, Web Development, JQuery, Linux
Skills desired: Mobile app development for Android
Job summary: Extend prototypes developed during a hack day for (two projects).
Project 1: Timeline - Clinical tools for electronic medical record visualization
https://github.com/UKRSE/Hackday/wiki/Clinical-Timeline-Details. Essentially, clinicians miss having the ability to pick up a patient’s file and flick through it to get an overview of their case and it would be useful to have an electronic equivalent. In the hackday we had a look at a javascript timeline library and another one for scrolling through images of the front page of documents on a touchscreen device. This post would aim to develop these ideas into a functional prototype with a working version up and running with our development version of ePJS (running on Amazon EC2).
Project 2: ADHD Questionnaire - A mobile app for monitoring patients with ADHD
https://github.com/dansellars/adhd_web. The idea is to provide a simple mobile app based on Purple Robot which allows the researcher to design a questionnaire which can then be filled in by patients on a mobile device. The goal of this project would be to work with the researchers to develop this prototype into a usable tool.
We currently have our own version of Purple Robot Server running on Amazon EC2, again the goal would be to polish the application, add some new features, and hook it up to our PR server. Then work out a way of migrating this so it can work on the clinical record or a SLAM based PR server.
