Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 1000
Information for the blog/website: We publish a print magazine aimed at people leaving the British Armed Forces
Industry: Publishing/Journalism
Topic: Careers in high-level Security and Anti-terrorism
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: We publish a magazine aimed at people leaving the British Armed Forces ie Service-leavers resettling in to Civvy Street.
Brief
The World is a dangerous place, with the threat of terrorism an increasing problem. Although human targets cause huge outrage and dark publicity, there is clearly another set of potential targets; those such as Government premises and other sites vital to the country. Among these are power stations, ports, major road inks and the like.
Writer’s note:
Profile the routes from the Armed Forces into careers in security and how they relate to experiences and attributes gained in the Military. Outline possible careers and their development, perhaps through further training.
This feature must include information on working for Civil Nuclear Constabulary and also information on Informa UK's distance learning course on Terrorism - https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~cstpv/study/certificate.html
