Hi,
Hope you are well.
I am contacting as a student from Loughborough University to enquire about the making of my garments for my final degree show. I am a Textiles student specialising in print so the making of garments isn't my forte so I am looking for someone to work with on my designs.
I am looking to have two garments made. I am able to look into getting the patterns but if you could recreate the images that would be probably better as I'm a bit clueless but I do understand it will increase the cost of you creating the pattern.
The first garment is a chiffon dress as you can see from the image attached. I would be able to source the black chiffon for you, I source from Whaleys so as long as you are ok with that.
I would just need the simple black outer chiffon dress, the layers underneath I will be sorting myself so it would just be that if you are able to replicate that. I would just need to know how many metres of fabric you require.
The second garment would be a white leather gilet/waistcoat. So I will either be sourcing from Identity or GH leathers and then screen printing on top. The screen print will be engineered across the front of the gilet and across one of the back sides, so I would be able to send you a mock up of how the print would look and I would need to you look at it to see if it need to be placed in a certain way for when the garment is made. From the attached image, this is preferably the shape I would like but I don't know whether this would be viable with leather. I wouldn't need pockets, I just really love the simple shape and draping around the shoulders and neck. I would like the gilet to fix with a suitable fastening if possbile, so coming across the body from right to left, diagonal across the front.
I understand this might not be that clear but could you advise me further on an estimated price, the turnaround, when you would need the fabric and when the garments would be complete and just any other questions you have or would need to know!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you!
