Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
OVERVIEW:
We are developing an innovative betting tips platform, which provides subscribers with their own private dashboard on which to record their bets and outcomes.
The dashboard is envisaged as a single page within a website built in Wordpress.
The rest of the website will be a pretty standard single page Wordpress site with various sections accessible by scroll: Home, About us, Products, etc. There will also be a few other fixed pages such as T&C, Legals etc, and perhaps a blog.
THIS JOB NEED NOT INCLUDE THE BID FOR THE REST OF THE WORDPRESS SITE: WE ARE CONCERNED ONLY WITH THE USER DASHBOARD AT THIS STAGE.
However, we may consider an ongoing relationship with the successful bidder, and ask them to build the "easy" part too!
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS:
The dashboard enables a user to login and drag-&-drop betting tips provided by us into vacant cells in tables.
The purpose of the tables is to allow users to arrange bets in a number of series which accumulate winnings over time. This has the effect of controlling risk whilst preserving the potential for high rewards.
Once the user has decided which series to place his bets in, and what stake to use, he goes off to his chosen betting platform and places the bets.
The site does not therefore enable automated betting to take place, nor is it connected to any third-party betting platforms for the placing of bets.
INTERACTIVE FEATURES:
We would like the dashboard to automatically populate a sidebar containing the betting tips we are recommending to our users on a daily basis.
These tips will be pulled from a third-party site, so we will require a small amount of coding in order to create an algorithm which goes out and trawls that site to obtain the required data.
The tables in the user dashboard will automatically update with winnings or losses once matches have been played, and results are known. The developer will therefore need to build access to an API from a match results service chosen by us.
EXTRA NOTES:
Due to the relative complexity of this task, we will require a Skype interview with any freelancers who we shortlist.
We also require freelancers to be UK-based and native English speakers. An exception may be made for an outstanding freelancer based in the UK, but with only second-language fluency in English.
NOTE: A FULL PROJECT SPECIFICATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON REQUEST, FOLLOWING AN INITIAL CANDIDATE APPRAISAL AND SIGNING OF AN NDA.
Please preface your bid with the words "You bet I can do this!" to show us you've read the whole thing!
