Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Industry: Art and Design
Design details: Various 3d Models on a regular basis to include architecture components (e.g. windows) and furniture with some soft / organic modeling for cushions, draped fabric etc).
Models will require uvmapping but no materials, lighting or other scene set up.
Example models will be provided to start off to assist and guidance for each project in detail is provided (including poly count target, naming conventions for each item, reference image and breakdown of the model).
We don't mind which software is used as you can provide the model back to us in fbx or other (I prefer Maya if you have however as that saves export challenges).
Work is regular so I am looking to build up an ongoing reliable relationship based on quality and ability to meet deadlines, to speed up workflows / overflow I can't manage myself directly (I normally have at least 2/3 projects per month. Additionally, each quarterly larger projects for another 10-12 models). If this works well that will increase substantially and I may dependent on skill set increase workflow ask to expand from modeling into materials, re-topo, lighting and render to texture (if using Vray) for certain elements as later phases).
This project is a test project to set up a new relationship and is fully paid for.
We retain all copyright for the models.
Ideas for the visual style: Decor
Extra notes: Note - the first project is attached below to get an idea of quotation.
My regular modeler is offline currently hence the wider search for more resources.
Model Image: https://gyazo.com/7207f9d1e33de304793affa570e3e118
Polycount Max: 1500
Naming Convention: Win_01, Win_02, Win_03, Win_04, Win_05, Win_06
Model Breakdown: Separate Meshes for
Win_01 - Top Ornate Lattice
Win_02 - Frame
Win_03 - Top Inset Frame
Win_04 - Left Inset Frame (note should be mirror UV of Win_05)
Win_05 - Right Inset Frame
Win_06 - Window Sill
Each of the above requires a uvmap so 6 in total. I tend to use headus or maya for speed mapping.
Model Notes and Guidance
1. Window should be modeled for Interior and Exterior viewpoint (so the lattice for example has an interior piece and exterior piece)..
2. Model should have sufficient width to be set into an exterior and interior wall on the main model we will use. We normally make Windows 100 cm thickness on a scaled model.
3. We try to reuse materials when we apply in our workflow for texture baking so any identical parts of a model should always have the same UVs mirrored as relevant.
4. You don't need to include Glass in the Window.
5. I have to apply materials and render to texture these models so ideally you will cut the model down the center (to allow aligning to interior wall and exterior wall) so I can create two bakes one for interior and one for exterior. - If you are unsure what this looks like I'll send an example model over to assist .
6. Quads required.
Open to offers on price (USD preferred).
