But when I got into files something did not add up. Three full years of accounts. No reconciliation. No structure. Transactions sitting in no particular order with nothing making sense behind them.
I could have just done $20 job and moved on.
I did not.
I told him what I found. He asked me to fix it.
Four months later his books were rebuilt from zero. 2023, 2024 and 2025 fully reconstructed in QuickBooks Online. Over a thousand transactions reconciled across bank accounts, credit cards, SBA loans, American Express business loans, and fifteen active equipment finance leases.
