Autonomous Financial Agent — Self-Managing Finance Workflows

I will build an autonomous financial operations agent — handling invoice processing and matching, expense categorisation and policy compliance checking, payment scheduling within defined approval limits, and financial anomaly flagging — with mandatory human approval for transactions above defined thresholds and full audit trail of all agent decisions. Financial operations agents require stricter governance than most agent types — every autonomous financial action must be auditable, every threshold for autonomous approval must be explicitly defined, and the agent must be incapable of executing transactions above its approval limit regardless of the reasoning it generates for doing so.

The agent covers invoice ingestion and data extraction, PO matching and discrepancy flagging, expense categorisation and policy compliance check, payment scheduling within approval limits, anomaly detection and flagging, human approval workflow for above-threshold transactions, and full audit trail.
