Agentic Email Workflow — Autonomous Email Processing & Response

I will build an agentic email workflow — an agent that monitors an inbox, classifies incoming emails, extracts relevant information, drafts responses for routine query types, takes defined actions based on email content (creating tasks, updating CRM records, or scheduling meetings), and escalates non-routine emails to human review. Email workflows are among the highest-value early agentic implementations because email processing is universally time-consuming, highly repetitive, and sufficiently well-structured that an agent can handle the majority of cases reliably — with human escalation preserving oversight for the genuinely complex cases that require judgment.

The workflow covers email monitoring (Gmail or Outlook API), classification and routing logic, information extraction from email content, draft response generation for routine types, action execution (CRM update, task creation, or calendar booking), and human escalation queue for complex emails.
