What is a UX designer?

A UX designer is responsible for making a website appealing, useful and accessible for the users. Perhaps the site needs to be easy to use for older demographics, or maybe it needs to be bold and colourful for a younger audience. After all, a website should be both engaging and help a user to solve whatever issue they may have.

What does a UX designer do?

UX designers conduct user research and A/B testing to determine which website features would work well for the target audience. They also create user flowcharts to visualise the path a user would take from entry to the site through to conversion. In addition, user personas are commonly used by UX designers to understand exactly who would visit the website and what they would want to find.

What is the difference between UI and UX design?

Although both of these elements work closely together, they do have entirely different meanings. To put it simply, UX refers to user experience, whereas UI refers to user interface. Focusing on user experience involves understanding the target audience and ensuring that each individual user has a successful and positive experience on the site. In comparison, user interface refers to the visual elements and how aesthetically pleasing the site is.
