What is a UX designer?

A UX designer is responsible for making a website appealing, useful and accessible for the users. Perhaps the site needs to be easy to use for older demographics, or maybe it needs to be bold and colourful for a younger audience. What is the difference between UI and UX design?

Although both of these elements work closely together, they do have entirely different meanings. To put it simply, UX refers to user experience, whereas UI refers to user interface. Focusing on user experience involves understanding the target audience and ensuring that each individual user has a successful and positive experience on the site. In comparison, user interface refers to the visual elements and how aesthetically pleasing the site is.
