This was phase 2 of an already completed project in which I removed all the absolute references from the pages and removed all direct styles references that lay in the code. Apart from this, logos and references to images were also cleaned up and menu bar were replaced by nav bar+ CSS keeping the same design. All style sheet data was gathered in responsive.css file and the pages were made fully responsive for smartphones, tablets and browsers...

I gave Vinit a simple list of tasks to perform on my website but in the process he damaged a large portion of my website. He then spent a week attempting to clean up his mess but was unable to get the site functioning how it was before. I am still a week later trying to fix all the errors caused and have a lot more to do and will have to pay someone else to complete the simple job he was unable to complete. He even had the cheek to ask for full payment. I paid him half as he begged but i feel he didn't deserve a penny.

Worst experience ever on PPH.... Beware of this client before agreeing to work with him. First of all he doesn't know what he wants or what his requirements are. He will ask for suggestions and once you give him some suggestions to improve his site, he will hire you to work on his website. I made all the changes/fixes as per my suggestions and also made couple of fixes as per his requirements as well. I asked him to release the payment as all the tasks were done.

He then asked to do some extra work (improving some section) and told me that I had suggested him this work earlier before the job was awarded, which infact I never did. He himself told me to raise the invoice for the work done.

During weekend, I didn't work on his site as I was away and he did some changes himself due to which the design got distorted... On Monday when I came back, I found the site's layout distorted and he then blamed me for all the cause.

Till Friday, the site was working absolutely fine and he himself checked that... I don't know what changes he made in the site during the weekend which damaged the layout. He is not accepting that he made those changes. I installed the backup and created a dev site and could clearly see the change in the codes for the live site.. The thing is, he never wanted to pay the invoice for the work done and always asked for the extra fixes and tasks to do for the same price.

When he couldn't find any other way to avoid paying the invoice, he damaged the site and started blaming me... At one point he told me that he would release the amount once I fix the issues (which he made). I even fixed all the mess which he created and after making sure that the fixes have been made, he said that he wouldn't pay anything as it was my fault... this is just ridiculous!!

So my fellow freelancers, beware before working with him... and if you do, make sure you take regular backups and screenshots of the tasks done so that if he damages anything, you will have the proof to produce... otherwise he will blame you and won't agree to pay anything...
