Leicester, GBWhat this gentleman from Ghana does is pure magic. We’ve worked with others on pph before and what we liked best about Rob was that unlike other sellers he just went ahead and did what was required to make stuff work the way we wanted it to work- also he was willing to learn.
Our API integration was a simple one but since it had to be ready by 1-Jan-2016 to avoid problems we hired Rob even though his offer was three/four times what other developers (e.g. from India) were offering. He did a great job- the integration required just a few kinks to be ironed out but worked quite well on his server. Around that time he mentioned he’d like to get paid so we just added another invoice for an additional task and paid it altogether to get it out of the way... and that’s when the problems started.
He made appointments with us at least four times and missed all of them. Always coming back to us after a few days with an explanation e.g. I was needed on a farm, had tooth pulled out, emergency on uncles farm and so on. Issues were still there after two weeks- we mentioned multiple times that we’re losing money every day due to this not being operational, unfortunately it did’t help.
Today he got back to us after another couple of days and wrote: "I'm in a meeting and off site all this week.”. So after three weeks of waiting we ‘ve finally went ahead and hired a professional to fix all the issues and make it work on our vps.
All in all, a great and polite dev but make sure you don’t pay him until every single thing works as expected and has been fully tested (on your servers), otherwise you’ll have to pay again like we did. -
