Neil is very competent at what he does, and very patient, I’m Not so clued up on website developing and he kindly made amendments that I required, he built my sales page with e-commerce within 3 days were other developers were giving a timescale for a week , really grateful that he carried out the work with such short time scale and produced a excellent sales page, this is the first time I have been involved in putting together a sales page website and e-commerce I really didn’t know the ins and outs of this , I would suggest that if you are in this position that you ask the developer everything they need to know to carry out the job and how this works from there side ie email configuration, if you want to apply any offers transaction fees and how many amendments are offered without extra charges , I felt Neil was a little unclear and not so supportive on this side and I had to message him to clarify , I also would have preffered instead of him
Completing the first full draft of the sales page that part way through he showed me what was done so far, as I came to realise that the layout I sent him a sample link of did not look so great for my page and the artwork that was supplied did not stand out as I thought which I had to send across new artwork for, this would have saved a lot of time for him
Making amendments and me having to pay extra maybe I was not getting it ! ...I have built my own website on square space a little different to shopify but still I’m aware of some of the processes , once Neil completed the website for us , I feel that he should have arranged a hand over zoom meeting just to go through what’s been done and anything we need to consider moving forward- I had to ask him...
How the email push works and that the website showed that it was on test mode , if I need to change this over? if I hadn’t identified this ... I probably wouldn’t have known why my clients were not able to purchase from
My website , I’m presuming that Neil tends to work with a lot of clients who are aware how a website/e-commerce runs where as this was my first time. But this was my experience and maybe me not knowing what to expect, Neil still did a very professional page for me, I am
