Happy so far with the job they are currently doing.

Excellent service thank you

Good result with some reservations.

First the good:

1. Their work was good in the end and the result was a decent implementation of the UX upgrade brief.

2. Abdul was friendly and polite

3. They were responsive to my requests and willing to make tweaks and changes.

4. Their communications were quite good.

5. They stuck to the agreed fixed price.

Now the reservations:

1. They did not follow my instructions to speak to the developers of the plugin they were working with in order to discover how best to interface with it.

2. Their original implementation of the solution involved hacking the core code of the plugin in such a way that if the plugin were upgraded much of their code would be lost and the plugin would need to be re-patched.

Eventually I had to speak to the plugin developers and they gave me the route to solving these issues without hacking the core code (which Coderkube did then correctly implement).

3. When making changes they often did not test them properly to see if they were working, but left it to me to troubleshoot and test the work. This isn't my job in my opinion - it's theirs!

4. The way they ported the site from staging to live was sloppy and required lots of troubleshooting (by me) to fix the issues left, which they eventually did, but this took lots of extra time.

5. They never apologised for any of their errors or mistakes, which I found irritating.

All of the above made things much more cumbersome, stressful, annoying and time consuming that it needed to be.

So I'm generously giving them 4 stars (it could have been 3) because the end product was good and it was at the agreed price. But I did find the process of working with them pretty annoying and frustrating at times.

This project is not yet complete, but CoderKube seem to be well on their way and have done a good job so far.
