London, GBPositives – The end product I think is very good and to a high standard. Thom works very fast, project was slowed down by myself since I just gave birth and could only work whilst burning the midnight oil. He gave me unlimited revisions and I felt he gave me a very good price. He also made teaser videos for me before Proposal was accepted for me to see his skill set. Very quick response time to my messages. Provided some creative ideas towards the project.
Negatives – There was poor communication between Thom and myself which I found quite frustrating at times.
I felt rushed during the project even though I explained to Thom I had just giving birth. I felt he always wanted to complete the project today or tomorrow. I did try and subtly explain to Thom that the project would be finished when I was ready for the project to be finished but he did try and rush me for quite sometime until I became extremely blunt about it.
Promised he could clean up my sound recording quality, but in my opinion he didn’t clean up the sound. If he couldn’t clean up sound quality I would have appreciated him to just tell me so we could find another solution to our problem, rather than saying he could do something he couldn’t.
Wanted to invoice me for the animation with no sound, and then add on the sound later, because I stated for me to get the voiceover it would take 3 weeks. I thought that was quite rude, a job should only be invoiced once the job is fully completed.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the workflow Lizz, but as a new PPH customer I feel I should point out some ‘untruths’ in your review to other potential customers which you’ve failed to mention…
* I offered 24/7 support to Lizz. Along with discussing the project with her on the phone. She seemed initially pleasant with a clear view of what she wanted. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the case.
* The brief was initially £1000 Lizz brought down the cost of the animation by £700 (at the very last minute) By this point I’d provided 3 x variations on animation for her (free) I still subsequently agreed to the project.
* Poor communication appeared to be on Lizz’s part. Lizz’s personal issues bizarrely affected the project and feedback on changes far more than it should. It’s certainly not something I’ve encountered before on PPH. With her availability limited at best. Quite often emails would take 24 hours to be responded to. This obviously affected the timeframe significantly.
* I did state I could provide voiceovers (which I can do and have done for a range of clients), and I did actually offer several times to provide voiceovers. Lizz had requested an adult voiceover so I’d lined up a talented vocal artist. At the very last minute she changed her mind and requested a child. I was unable to provide this in the timeframe so she insisted a family member do it instead.
* Because Lizz provided her own audio using non professional equipment (subsequently emailing them over without any details to each file) she was unsatisfied with the outcome as it contained multiple background noises (including what sounded like someone doing the dishes in one). I’ve offered audio recording services for large brands and charities so I like to think I’m able to manage most high demand projects. Henceforth I’d cleaned each file as much as I could (again for free) and explained the issue. Again Lizz blamed me for this.
* Lizz extended the initial proposed deadline through the project (after initially agreeing to wrap prior to Christmas. Because of her demands of delivery I worked fast to ensure she was happy with each change. I was subsequently chastised for the fast delivery ( certainly a new one to me ) with several blunt and frankly rude emails back. Something odd on a website which is based around the principle of ’people per hour’.
* In total Lizz received well over 10 amends (and roughly around £1,500 in extra animation/editing/audio work) to the initial video she requested. All delivered to high quality and in double formats. There was no repeated word in the final video and I offered several variations for free. I’ve no idea how further amendments have not been acknowledged. At the end Lizz informed me she should have free changes otherwise she’d request a refund. Hilariously before realising she’d approved the payment. This is something I’d not encountered before and would certainly think suspicious at best.
As a new customer of pph I can understand a lack of confidence using the website - and I’m pleased to say Lizz appears to be the first troublesome (and not particularly pleasant) client I’ve had to deal with. All of my other clients have been absolutely superb to deal with.
However Lizz has done a far better job at advertising why potential buyers should not work with her than I ever could. Unreliable project briefs, unprofessional and frankly rude.
I would hastily recommend to any potential buyers to not endure any abuse and requests of lowering prices and to look elsewhere.

London, GBPositives - Very quick turnaround. First correction was free which I feel I ended up paying for anyway.
Negative - I had asked for an amendment to be made on a textual element of the video after the project was completed and Thom offered to do this for Free which I really appreciated but explained to me it would take longer than usual since the project had been completed and he was doing it for free, which i completely understood. On the same day I had sent Thom a revised correction to the same textual element of the video. Then he said I would have to pay for it because it is a second amendment even though I had sent it to him before he had sent me the amended video.
I felt as though it was really 1 amendment, but Thom felt it was 2 so I had to pay for it. Didn't agree but I did pay for it.Thom B.
