    My ethos stands as it always has, that a good telemarketer will present the product and its company in its best possible light to the person or people who make the decisions. I find it more beneficial to listen, rather than to reel out a tired and rigid sales patter. My approach is gentle and enquiring in order to engage potential customers in a dialogue most likely to give you the vital information most relevant to their needs and wants.
    I prefer to make appointments which will generate a healthy flow of business, rather than wasting the very expensive time of your sales team with poor quality meetings which will reap little or no reward. The tools of my trade are empathy, focus and a keen ear, all of which are used towards my goal of targeting and attaining quality business opportunities for my client.

    Description: My Background: I have worked in a sales environment since 1985 and during that time have covered a wide range of campaigns by means of both field and telephone sales. My early years were predominantly spent in the stationery and office equipment trade, a very competitive market which taught me the resilience and tenacity that I still draw upon today.

    Recent Campaigns:
    Website company - Scotland Client approached me after having 1 appointment a day made, but he wasn't happy with the quality of the leads from that provider. I did a trial for 5 days, resulting in 8 good appointments with genuine interest which has rolled out to 6 days a month appointment setting for website design company, averaging 1.6 appointments per day. It's anticipated 70% of leads turn into business with a minimum sell of £1500. This campaign involved calling in a very niche area of the Highlands of Scotland. This campaign had a lot of database management and dealing with data on CRM systems, excel sheets and from yellow pages to bring it all into one coherent list which could be used as a workable marketing tool for the client who was looking to increase his marketing activity but well aware that the data was poor.
    This company took on an additional field sales person to keep up with the demand, and the owner has plans to get me on board to generate more leads when he opens another company likely to be later this year.
    Graphic & Display Services Company-Bedfordshire 4 day trial for graphics and display company. The client had a database of 500 prospects who had been receiving emails for the past 6 months, the data was in very poor condition but has now been brought fully up to date which has lent far greater success to the regular e- shots carried out by the client. The main aim of the campaign was to set appointments and gather quote requests. All expectations have been surpassed and the company gave me a six month campaign as a result.
    Tooth Whitening Strips-Nationwide- Initially on a trial basis to introduce the product onto the UK market. I have been very successful in securing new business for the client and have established a strong relationship with the customers which has lead to a robust pipeline of repeat orders. As a result of the initial campaign, the client has found it necessary to expand its sales force to meet demand.

    Education Summary: I was educated to GCSE level and left school in 1981. I went straight out to work and have been involved in a sales or commercial environment ever since. I understand business from both sides, having owned a contract cleaning company for 10 years, this has given me extra empathy with businesses who aim to grow in a competitive market.
