A lesson for someone getting to know how best to use a contractor via PPH.

Brief - I needed to pick a date for an event but needed to try and avoid my event clashing with other similar events in my area and on the same day. I asked for online research to be conducted and for the results to be entered onto a simple spreadsheet. I paid £168 for this research.

I had indicated I needed work completed in 2 days which meant working Saturday and Sunday, so I had the detail for Monday morning.

Some confusion over delivery expectations caused Catrina to become frustrated with me.

Although the PPH system asked me for delivery timescales, Catrina was not made aware. I asked for an update on Sunday which prompted a reply from Catrina pointing out, within her T's & C's it stated She didn't work on Sundays. I had not read the T's & C's well enough.

Technically, I guess this was my fault and it is why my review is neutral and not negative.

From a work perspective, I found several gaps in the online research which I had asked for.

To be fair to Catrina, when I pointed them out Catrina amended the spreadsheet adding the details.

In summary, I have had to go over the work again to try and find any further clashes, QC if you like.

I have not found any but the fact I had to do so has been a lesson for me.

As Trevor has pointed out there was nothing in what I could see that said he needed it within 2 days. If there had have been I wouldn't have sent a proposal as I would be deemed to failure.

When I sent the provisional sheet over on the Saturday I asked for any comments and when I received notice of two specific websites he knew of, but had not shared previously, that had not appeared in my google searches, then I added the data that had not been found elsewhere already.

I, like most if not all PPHers, always offer a round of amends - hence asking for comments which has been seen as a negative here.
