London, GBPaid out over 2.5K then left Alex all of a sudden decided could not take any more work as had other more important clients. Fair enough but could at least have done a proper handover. Requested 1 hour numerous times and was declined. All of the payments we made to Alex was immediate as well so not impressed by this at all.

Thank you for your feedback. Feedback, whether positive or negative, helps businesses like mine improve and is, therefore, always welcomed. I regret that I was unable to provide an ‘on-call’ service for ad hoc legal work (a service I never agreed to provide or am unable to provide at present). It is not correct to say that I made a decision ‘all of a sudden’, or in fact at all, not to carry out any further work for you. I did warn you a few weeks ago that my work load was increasing. It was for this reason that we agreed on 11 December that your needs would be better served by another lawyer. All of my clients are important. However, as I have already explained to you I have contractual commitments to one particular client which I have to honour. The first time you requested a handover was in your email of Sunday timed at 21.25 which I replied to Monday morning at 00.33. I did not ‘decline’ a handover. In fact, to the contrary, in my email I confirmed that I was willing to speak to you or your new lawyer and proposed a time of 6.00pm on Tuesday. After you left your feedback I repeated my willingness to discuss a handover with your new lawyer but to date you have not taken me up on this. I hope that you have now managed to find a lawyer who is able to provide you with the service you require and wish you all the best in your new business venture.
