Centre of Excellence Drawing
Brief for MAST Archaeological Centre Building Project I am wanting someone to put together a very simple design as a starter for this concept .. Overview The MAST Archaeological Centre envisions a Centre of Excellence that embodies the collective goals of MAST and The Maritime Observatory. To achieve this vision, a physical building is essential to support various activities, including consultancy, research, publications, project management, maritime archaeology, training, and education. Vision The Centre of Excellence aims to become a hub of maritime archaeological excellence, fostering innovation, education, and community engagement. Detailed planning is crucial, considering prospective locations, potential collaborations with Bournemouth University, and the possibility of a new building in Poole. Leveraging partnerships with the National Museum of the Royal Navy and educational institutions is vital to establish a globally recognized hub for maritime excellence. The Physical Building The design of the new MAST Archaeological Centre's building should prioritize functionality, sustainability, and collaboration, meeting the specific needs of each department. Consultancy and Advisory - Dedicated spaces for consultation and advisory services. - Modern meeting rooms for face-to-face and virtual consultations. Desk-Based Research Publications - Well-resourced library with literature and digital resources. - Workspaces for MAST and BU staff and guests. Maritime Observatory - Secure space for confidential work and project management. - Equipped for effective monitoring and collaboration. Maritime Archaeology Recording - Labs with modern technology for archaeological recording. - Environmental storage for conserved artefacts. Maritime Archaeology Conservation - State-of-the-art conservation facilities. - Segregated areas for artefact storage under conservation. Training and Education - Multi-purpose educational/lecture areas. - Collaboration with educational institutions and museums. - Teaching of MAST BAD course for PADI certification. Office Space - Shared offices for administrative staff. - Facilities for secure file storage. Supplementary Facilities - Conference Area with rooms for seminars and conferences. - Community Engagement and Outreach spaces. - Adequate Parking Facilities within a secure yard. - Security measures to protect artefacts and facilities. Collaboration Facilities that promote collaboration between different teams and partners. Location Ideas - Waterfront location, regeneration potential, and proximity to historic sites. Environment, Energy, and Costs Emphasize the need for environmentally sustainable design, including ground source heating, air source heating, and solar panels to reduce energy costs. Conclusion we just need something that has some really good visuals and layouts in cad
QT Program - Cross Platform App
I am seeking someone who can develop an application to replace an existing application that only works on Windows. The current program code is linked at the bottom with all code in the Form1.h file. It is a .Net WPF program that uses a serial data read/write protocol over USB from the PC to an external hardware device. The Form1.h file covers all read and write data sets/payloads that need to be added to the new application. I have linked to the download for the Windows version for your review below... There is a windows installer and a direct executable. They are the same but obviously the installer includes the Windows drivers for the FTDI chip on the external hardware which is a USB to Serial converter chip and a standard method used for many years. https://www.dmm-tech.com/Downloads.html The hardware that will be connected to from the PC via USB/Serial is linked below as well as the manual for the device. It is not required that you understand the hardware side. Just understand what payloads and how they must be formed before reading and writing via the USB/Serial connection. https://www.dmm-tech.com/Dyn4_main.html https://www.dmm-tech.com/Files/DYN4MS-ZM7-A10A.pdf Since this will be a native Linux application you will need to find a way to associate the USB port in the application so that the user can select the connection port. I am not sure how you do that and will leave it up to you. I am an expert on the hardware this app will communicate with not PC application programming. Ideally, I want a QT program UI that is cross platform or platform independent so I can use it in Linux, Windows, and Mac. The standard QT form elements are fine as we do not need a beautiful interface as we are engineers. We just need it to work 100% of the time just like the current Windows version. Please review the code provided to be by the manufacturer of the hardware device at the link below. It is held in Box online for download. https://app.box.com/s/5pzvkxzncn22dtksz1ngcwdx8zxnhczr And help me develop this application. Thanks.
Design / Engineer PCB board for IoT (ESP32 and Lorawan)
Design/engineer a PCB board for IoT with the ESP32 module. I will need: - Source files for production/print (Gerber) - Realistic Photo / Look - Fritzing version (for user instruction) - Specifications / Instructions for manufacturer The board will be used to connect many sensors, some with different voltages or different output types (Analog, Modbus, Digital 0-5v), so idea is to have a very user-friendly modular board that supports all (36+) the sensors (electronically). Sensors will be connected depends on available and use able slots. The PCB board will include terminal place for: - ESP32 (ESP32-U CH9102) - LoraWAN as transmitter/receiver (* optional for user) - LoRa SX1278 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32791728376.html - Lora: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005105890721.html - It should be able to wake up ESP32 (so ESP32 can have a sleep) - ADS1115 Module ADC 16 Bit I2C (* optional for user) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001636468832.html - MAX485 Module => for use with modbus sensors (* Optional for user) Communication & Voltage support: - Support for SPI, I2C BUS, Mod-bus, 485, Serial, Digital Pins, Analog pins - Level shifters 12v to 9v and 5v to power the sensors and boards - level shifter for signals (I'm not sure if its a problem with ESP32, but with ESP8266 the analog pin could support max 1v on Analog input signal so analog sensors signal up to 5v required level shifter) Inputs: - 6x* 4p SDA/SLA IC input jst-ph connector (or any other you recommend) - 5x* 4p Digital inputs (female pin connector) - 3x* 3p Digital male pins for digital inputs (not sure if any resisor is needed..some sensor do seem to need) - 3x* Analog - digital input using ADS - Modbus/485 - ??485 to IC/232 * Exact amount depends on available ESP32 pins and combinations - ?Status Led - ?Reset Button - Selection for 9v or 12v power for the modbus/485 - Text: Ports Type and Pin numbers on board, voltages and other info + Logo - Corner holes for screws Power: - From USB using ESP32: And it powers board 3.33-5 v and sensors in this voltage range - Jack power (9-12v or only 12v): In case one or multiple sensors require 9v/12v Notes: - The board will be also used in off-grid mode => with solar panel and battery (charging unit is external and not needed in this board), so note the efficiency and low energy usage of board. - With LoraWAN module: Note the wake up function to wake up ESP32 (Electrical wiring point of view) - Note: some say that the 5v output of esp32 is not stable and effects sensors, maybe needs to be addressed: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/esphome-water-pressure-sensor-do-not-get-correct-values/306606/8 - See similar concept board: https://shop.sowillo.com/product/ultimate-iot-board-dc-kit/
Mei CF 7000 Coin Machine Driver
Hi, I've developed a Photobooth software. Previously I got CF 690 which was working fine with windows XP via MDB Serial ports. Now upgraded to Windows 10 and CF 7000 but it's not working anymore with Serial Port (I got USB cable as well) but it seems like the driver is missing. May be a driver is needed and then setup/validation required. You need to get/write driver for CF 7000 and integrate it within the Photobooth software to work with Windows 7 & Windows 10. So, Is it something you can do? Thanks

Arduino controlled turntable
Hi there, my name is Sam and I'm currently working on a dynamic projection mapping art installation in Berlin. Part of this Project consists of a display turntable which I build myself using an Arduino like board (Sunfounder Mega 2560), an Easy Driver stepper motor driver and a Nema 17 Bipolar stepper motor. What I need this turntable to do is first to wait for a trigger signal (for example the character '1' over serial communication) from my laptop (which is connected via USB), when received I want it to turn for 360 degrees (one rotation) and then stop and wait for the next signal coming from the laptop. One rotation should last just a little under 50 seconds (rotating pretty slow). The trigger signal will be coming from my laptop exactly every 50 seconds, I want to achieve a smooth and constant rotation of the turntable but I want every new rotation to be triggered by the computer. I have spent a good few days on trying to make it happen, but since this is my first Arduino project, I'm missing a lot of programming knowledge, even on a 'simple' code like this one... and since I have a deadline coming up and still need to make a lot of other things, I can't really waste any more time on this... Thank you in advance for your response!
Arduino Project Sketch
I need a sketch and a confirmation of a schematic for an arduino project. We are looking to send (8 initially) mapped from installed software on a PC to give basic key commands output from the PC ( eg "1", "2" etc). We want to send the key commands via usb to the serial port on an Arduino Uno with a connected 16 X 2 LCD (QAPASS) and MP3 board (Serial Mini MP3 player board YX5200-24SS chip) with connected speaker. We are looking to have simultaneous LCD messages and MP3 track emitted tied to the individual key commands.
I need to set up a (virtual) machine with a complete toolchain for Nordic's nrf51xxx
We are looking for a developer for a single task project. We need to provide all of our developers with the same development environment, so we are looking for someone that will prepare a full system image / virtual machine with the following softwares and features pre-installed and configured - Ubuntu x64 - Eclipse for C/C++ - GNU ARM toolchain - ability to step-debug with a Jlink SWD USB debugger - .git + .git GUI connected to hosted repo crypted with https://github.com/spwhitton/git-remote-gcrypt (or equivalent system for remote encryption) - a global configuration file to set up all keys and details of the machine for each user other preinstalled tools might be needed, such as serial logger, etc. If interested, please contact me for more details, if possible already with a rough estimation of time and cost involved.
I need an animated video produced
We need to create an animated video around encrypted data storage and the implications of non-compliance with new EU regulations coming into force in 2018. We envisage this being a scenario film where someone downloads customer data onto a USB stick before leaving the office (to work on from home perhaps) then the USB falling from their pocket on the bus/tube/train and being lost. It would be found by someone with bad intentions that then cannot access the personal data stored on the device because the person/business has implemented the use of encrypted USB sticks ahead of the new regulations. There will be additional messaging and a sales hook for a range of products at the end.
