Pattern maker and seamstress for athleisure wear
I am looking for a pattern maker who can create a sweatshirt pattern (I've got some rough ideas of having a slightly more curved and oversized sleeve), as well as a seamstress who can sew together the pattern pieces once they have been printed and dyed. (If you are both a pattern cutter and seamstress that would be amazing.) I need the final sweatshirts (5 in total) to be of high quality as I will be showing them at my postgrad degree show, my website and possibly to an independent boutique. Looking for a quick turnaround for both patterning and sewing. Many thanks Funmi

Dressmaker for Satin Gown: Alter + Add Shape Support
I am attending a wedding in the summer and the bride has asked us to buy from a select list of gowns. The dresses are all satin with little to no lining inside - fine if you are very slim but if you have curves they are all extremely highlighted. I am a size 14 but with a large bust, so I have ordered a few dresses in size 16 to try, and would like to have my chosen dress altered to fit me. As part of this, I would like you to sew into the dress something that will support and smooth my shape: mainly my breasts and my stomach. AKA instead of buying shapewear to wear under the dresss (which I hate, and which I am sure you'd still be able to see as the dress is cream satin and lots of back and shoulder will be exposed), I would prefer the bra + shapewear to be built in. My main aim is to make me look good and feel good in this dress, by making the dress fit and shape my body perfectly. If this is something you have experience in/have done before, please reach out!

Pattern designer / tech pack specialist for bedding
Hi! I’m creating a children’s bamboo bedding line and I have custom-printed fabric (digitally printed with a repeat pattern, 150cm width). I need help preparing everything a UK cut-and-sew manufacturer will need to produce: - A single duvet cover (135 x 200 cm) - A pillowcase (50 x 75 cm) I’ll be sending them the printed fabric – so I need you to: ✅ Create a cutting layout that fits with my fabric width and repeat ✅ Recommend seam allowance, finishing, and fastening style (e.g. zip, envelope, ties) ✅ Advise on how much fabric is needed per set (and per 10 sets) ✅ Prepare a tech pack including: – Measurements and construction details – Stitch type / finishing suggestions – Label placement (if any) – Fastening instructions – Notes on print alignment if important ----- > You must be able to share some examples with me if a similar project you've worked on. A portfolio would be great too if possible. I have no idea how much to budget for this so I am awaiting your proposals - thank you.
Seamstress Needed – 50-Piece Sewing Project (Upcycled Trousers)
We’re a small, independent clothing label based in North London, looking for a reliable and experienced seamstress to help us complete a batch of 50 pairs of trousers. ⸻ What we’re looking for: • Location: Ideally based in North London and able to pick up/drop off from our studio in Haringey (N22). If you’re based elsewhere in the UK, we can post garments back and forth – though please note this adds to project costs and isn’t our first choice. • Equipment: You must have access to a straight-stitch industrial machine and a reliable iron. ⸻ About the project: This is a one-time project to complete 50 pairs of upcycled trousers. The trousers are made by combining two vintage pairs, so all details (zips, waistbands, pockets, hems) are already done for you. Each piece will be cut and overlocked by us in preparation for you. Your role will be to: • Sew 4 seams to join the front and back leg panels (these run through the centre of each leg – see images) • Press the garment • Topstitch 4 waistband seams – our seams go through the waistband when the trousers are joined. These need to be topstitched open only at the waistband to ensure they lay flat and avoid bulk. • Occasionally topstitch patches that we’ve already glued in place Once prepped (by us), each pair takes approximately 15 minutes to sew and press – often less for experienced machinists. ⸻ Payment: We’ll pay a per-piece rate, to be agreed based on your experience and speed. Please include your proposed rate per completed pair when applying. ⸻ Getting started: We’d love to meet for a morning – either at our studio or yours – the first time we work together. That way, we can walk you through the process and make sure we’re both aligned before the work begins. The trousers are simple, but as they’re upcycled, there are a few quirks to the construction that we’d like to explain in person.
Make a digital sewing pattern from a paper pattern
Hello! I need assistance converting my paper pattern for a poncho with a hood into a digital format and making minor adjustments. The paper pattern works well but requires refinement. Here are the details: - The matching points do not align precisely; I need adjustments to ensure they match to the millimeter. - I’d like to make some adjustments such add a popper to the neckline and incorporating tape to secure a cord lock at the back of the hood. - Once the pattern is digital, I would like to be able to test it against my original by printing it. - After adjustments, the pattern needs to be graded into 5 sizes. I have prepared a 2D drawing with some measurement points and have photos of the prototype for reference. The digital pattern must be suitable for garment manufacturing alongside my tech pack. Thank you.
