Website kick-off questions
What is the purpose of the site?
To show who i am, what the business offers, who we have done work for on the past and to give prospects the reason to pick the phone up and call to book an appointment
What are the goals of the site?
To give a clear message of quality, personal service and to get them to pick up the phone/email/contact. The testimonials are also key to the site. An emphasis on business, wedding and casual bespoke attire.
What are the key take-away messages?
Thats first impressions are paramount and that you don't get a second chance. What you wear defines who you are and what people think of you.
That the business and product is reputable, experienced, competitively priced but not cheap, and that the customer is not just a number being served in a shop. Its not expensive buying bespoke. Repeat orders are a carbon copy of the first order which means that clients do not need to be fitted for a second time.
How would you define a successful website for your company
A website that makes me want to pick the phone up and talk to me. A site that displays all of the unique features of buying a bespoke suit and that they will feel special when they wear it.
How would you describe your current site from your company point of view?
Poorly designed, too wordy, poor colours, out of date images, used to bring me lots of enquiries and now doesn't bring me any leads. No pricing displayed anywhere - very important. Pictures are ok but too small, these need to be a feature.
How would you describe the site from the user’s point of view (current site?)
dated, fashioned, wordy. descriptive, some have saids how nice it is (?)
Who are the users of the site and how would you describe them?
Guys, aged 30 - 55, mid to wealthy earners, all professionals, sales, MD's, CEO's, Marketing. Sometimes visited by women on behalf of boyfriends or husbands.
Why will they come to the site?
To see what is available in the local area and how i compete with the other 2 or 3 suppliers. Generally they will know what they want to buy and have already made the decision to buy bespoke, they want to know who from.
When / where / how will users access the site?
Anywhere. Mobile, PC, Phone. Generally the geographic will be 30 mile radius.
What are users expectations?
Trust, price, quality, testimonials,
What will users do on the site?
Look for reasons to buy. Browse pictures, ask questions, maybe select a special offer?
Which tasks are most important to users?
Thats they can see what they are buying and who they are buying from.
How often will users frequent the website?
Not often. Variably a couple of times. Generally once they have found me thats enough. Perhaps the inclusion of accessories.
What will compel users to return to the website?
Im not sure. Perhaps to see whats new in terms of fabrics, linings etc. Perhaps an offer?
Who is it that will make you the most money and what is it that they will do?
Weddings and business users. Wedding often have 2-6 buyers and business users are good repeat orders. Casual jackets are also on the increase
What content will distinguish your company from your competitors?
Pictures, design, me and the service, locality, knowledge of the industry,
competitors are www.roomten.com www.kingandallen.com www.tomfoxtailoring.com
What, if any, are the fundamental business problems/issues/challenges do you want to address with this website?
Leads. More leads and more leads. Market share from the others that are clearly smashing it.
Premises. My premises are not up to date but this will change with budget. Times seeing people for appointments, i positively encourage people to meet after hours which works well.
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: Mindful of SEO and working ETC
Extra notes: Hi
I am reworking my website and marketing strategy in the coming months. My site needs to be completely rewritten with an emphasis on generating leads, SEO and the fact that my service is personal.
I am fairly marketing savvy so would like to hear from you if you have done something similar before, perhaps in retail.
I am looking for an ongoing partnership as i will require stuff for social media on an ongoing basis.
Hope this help?
Thanks
