Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
Kind of writing: Automotive
Words per article: 750-8000
Topic: consumer automotive interests
Tone: Instructional/Educational
Outline & Structure: Hello again writers!
I have another job that may interest you guys.
My client is looking for a specialist writer of the automotive industry - specifically, the content will be focused on consumer automotive interests. So, it's a little more technical than just writing about the latest BMW. This is an ongoing position. PLEASE NOTE - that only writers who can demonstrate their success as automotive writers will be eligible for this job. The topics are highly technical, and will require a writer who is familiar with in depth research, who understands the importance of fact checked accuracy and who writes with a friendly and clear tone.
I'll allow my client to introduce the brief himself:
"The writer must, of course, be an automotive expert. Articles will be at least 750 words, with some exceptions depending on topic, and there is no top word count limit. 8000 words for a massively in-depth guide on a complicated subject is perfectly fine.
Our demographic is 70% male, over 18. More in-depth demographics can be provided at a later date. Any topic related to consumer automotive interests are acceptable; i.e. Loans, interest rates, vehicle history, fuel economy, owner manuals, warranty, recalls, and so on. The writer can (and should) be creative on coming up with their own topics.
The tone should be friendly with a good personality, and easy to read (at least a score of 50 on the Flesch-Kincaid Reading Ease test https://readability-score.com/). The articles should be engaging and fun to read, but maintain a professional tone, like a good doctor or financial advisor, explaining concepts in an easy to understand and friendly way."
Extensive research needed: yes
Extra notes: As this is an ongoing role - the fee for article will vary dependent on the article required. A suitable writer will be able to negotiate their rate for each article going. This is not an entry level position and so the rates will no be entry level. I have placed the budget as $100 - in your proposal you can tell me the amount of articles, word count, research included that $100 will buy me.
For the right writer - we will be very flexible.
Please quote the phrase, "Banana Pancake," in your proposal so that I know you have read the full job description.
Please provide a) samples of relevant work
b) descriptions of past experience
c) 3 topic ideas to show that you understand the brief
d) availability for an interview next week and your time zone (myself and my client are UTC+07:00, please try to state a time that coincides with the working areas of this timezone)
