Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 750
Blog/website url: Similar to listverse.com (not listverse, a similar site)
Information for the blog/website: History, Science
I'm specifically looking for someone who is a history or science buff, someone who enjoys facts and research. The articles are to be fact heavy and written by someone who is interested in the subject and maybe has some background knowledge.
The articles and titles will be similar to those found on Listverse.com. I have had writers write for me for almost 2 years now on an ongoing basis and am looking to add an extra writer.
Topic: Lists
Tone: Other
Outline & Structure: Outline & Structure: The site is a popular list based site, think in the style of: listverse.com, cracked.com, list25.com.
Im always looking to increase the quality of the articles, so I'd like to find someone who can deliver quality copy in the same "voice" and style as something like listverse.
The articles should be written with attention to detail and fact-heavy. Our readers spot any poorly researched articles or minor errors.
Particularly interested in people who have a specialist knowledge in either science or history (or anything else nerdy, obsessive etc).
The articles are fun to write, wacky and off beat topics. But the tone is definitely fact based and not overly jokey or trivial.
Im paying between $20 and $40 per article. The ones who have been with me for a long time I have increased the pay in some cases.
Please do not bid higher as that is what the pay is currently and what the budget allows for, this is a long term stable job with ongoing work.
- Please send me an example piece of writing, preferably a link online, not an attached file please.
- Tell me why you would be so good at writing wacky, interesting, off the wall, pop-science, well researched articles like those on cracked.com or listverse.com.
Extensive research needed: yes
