Transcription of Handwritten Documents

Typist Required for Transcription Work from Original Handwritten Documents.Over 50 hrs of work potentially.

I have a number of old diaries that I would like to have transcribed into typewritten documents. The original diaries have been digitally scanned into pdf format in order that they can be read on a PC. A single page from one of the diaries is attached as an example. The diaries include;

• Handwritten documents
• Typewritten documents

Background: The original docs are War Diaries from 1915 There are over 200 individual diaries and from personal experience each one would probably take a few hours to do. The work might be suitable for anyone with a few spare hours in each day or someone who is happy to take on the lot. No urgency.

Location. Preferably someone in London (SW) but happy to discuss online. English as a first language is an absolute must as the English is quite quaint (written in 1915)

Rates. I am happy to discuss rates. I would be very grateful to receive quotes based on any of the following:

• Per hour (my least preferred)
• Per MB of data measured on the size of the finished diary (my most preferred)
• Word count.
