I am looking for a native English-speaking academic editor with extensive experience editing and paraphrasing . thesis is approximately 69,000 words, and I require a comprehensive academic editing service—not simple proofreading.
Scope of Work
The successful freelancer will:

Improve clarity, coherence, academic style, flow, and readability throughout the thesis.
Ensure the writing reads naturally and meets the standard of high-quality academic English.
Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and word choice.
Remove repetition and improve transitions between sections.
Ensure consistency in terminology, abbreviations, formatting, tense, and writing style throughout the thesis.
Review the overall document for consistency and identify any issues.
Verify that all chapters, sections, tables, figures, equations, and appendices are correctly numbered and referenced.
Ensure every table and figure is cited correctly in the text.
Check captions, titles, cross-references, numbering, and formatting for accuracy and consistency.
Identify any missing, duplicated, or incorrect numbering or references.

Mandatory Requirements
Please do not apply unless you meet ALL of the following requirements:
You are a native English speaker.
English is your first language.
Proven experience editing and paraphrasing PhD theses, dissertations, or academic journal papers.
Excellent knowledge of academic writing and research standards.
Manual academic editing and rewriting (no automated paraphrasing).
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to deliver natural, fluent, human-written academic English.
Commitment to complete confidentiality.
Important Notes
This is not a proofreading project. It requires substantial paraphrasing, academic editing, and a complete quality review of the thesis.
The final document should read as if it were originally written by a native English academic writer.
AI detection software to be submitted for final confirmation
Confidentiality is essential. The thesis must not be shared or reused.
When Applying
Please include:
Confirmation that English is your native language.
Details of your experience editing PhD theses.
Examples of similar work (if permitted).
Your estimated delivery time.
Confirmation that all editing and paraphrasing will be completed manually.
Confirmation that you will perform a full consistency check, including numbering, tables, figures, cross-references, and formatting.
The final submission must include an AI detection report generated using a reputable AI detection tool. The edited thesis should read as natural, human-written academic English. I reserve the right to verify the submitted work using additional AI detection tools as part of my quality review.
Applications that do not clearly demonstrate native English proficiency and significant experience editing PhD theses will not be considered.
Before I award the project, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a sample edit of two pages from my thesis.
The sample should demonstrate your ability to:
Professionally paraphrase academic content while preserving the original meaning.
Improve the academic writing style, clarity, coherence, and readability.
Produce natural, fluent, human-written English.
Maintain technical accuracy and the original academic tone.
The sample will be used solely to evaluate the quality of your work, attention to detail, and suitability for this project. Only candidates whose sample meets the required standard will be considered for the full thesis editing project.
